Irina is a Senior Managing Associate with Băncilă, Diaconu și Asociații SPRL, coordinating the Competition, Telecom and Retail areas.
Irina holds a Master of Arts in European Competition Law from King’s College London together with an MBA from ASE Bucharest, in addition to the degree from the Law School, Bucharest University.
Prior to joining Băncilă, Diaconu și Asociații SPRL, Irina worked for reputed national and international law firms and, she was an in-house lawyer for two leading companies in retail and telecom.
Having more than 15 years of experience, Irina has advised companies from various sectors such as: telecom, retail, FMCG, manufacturing and distribution of EEE, transports, gambling or online sales.
Irina is mainly specialized in the national and EU competition law, being involved in prevention and competition compliance, as well as in complex investigations launched by the Romanian Competition Counsel (from the dawn raid up to the end of the litigation proceedings against the sanctioning decision).
She provides legal support in transactions which fall under merger control or FDI control procedures and she also renders, on regular basis, effective competition compliance programs as well as specific monitoring and audit activities.
